Worcester Business School in association with QinetiQ would like to
invite UKita members to an Information Security Conference at the University of Worcester Campus on Tuesday 18th November 2008.
The conference will look at what Information Security means for SMEs and why adopting effective information security practices is essential.
Lead by Richard Henson, from the University of Worcester Business School and Barry Horne an Information Security Practitioner from QinetiQ, the conference will be both lively and topical.
Looking at policies and standards that are essential for any business processing company and customer information, and offering practical solutions the conference will examine;
• How the current situation has arisen
• Changes in legislation
• The threat of inappropriate usage
• Relevant case studies
• Potential solutions
This conference is aimed at Managing Directors and their equivalents who require an update on their data handling and processing responsibilities and how to keep that information safe and secure.
The conference is free and delegates are asked to arrive at 16:15 for a 16:30 start.
The evening will conclude with light refreshments and an opportunity to question the speakers, mix with other delegates and explore potential solutions to the issues raised.
