A well established and growing B2B company seeks a senior engineer to provide 3rd line support and application implementation and integration projects.
Duties:
- Ensures that every server and every services is monitored according to the SLA requirements and that all systems logs are checked
- Deploys system upgrades and patches
- Any fault or problem identified is dealt with in a timely and appropriate way until resolved
- Identifies and documents the managed services troubleshooting process adding to the systems knowledge base
- Achieves operational objectives by ensuring that all servers and services are fully documented
- Achieves operational objectives by ensuring that all support staff are fully trained on potential problems and are able to support this role
- Responsible for the production of management reports to include new developments; trends; upgrade paths and software upgrades.
- Updates job knowledge by knowledge share to colleague; updating the knowledge database and by managing regular meetings.
- Enhances department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to service improvements.
